One of the world's hardest-hitting heavy metal rockers is marking their return to the live stage. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is kicking off its newest headlining North American tour this year, hitting major cities across the United States and Canada. The tour will feature special guests Marilyn Manson and Slaughter. Known for their roster of rockin' hit singles - "House of the Rising Sun", "Bad Company", "Jekyll and Hyde", "A Little Bit Off", "AfterLife", and many more, the Vegas-based band continues to impress and conquer the airwaves.
The band released its ninth studio album "AfterLife" in 2022, hitting #10 on the Billboard 200. The project featured their newest hits - its title track, "Welcome to the Circus", "Times Like These", and "This Is the Way" featuring DMX. In April 2024, 5FDP released the Digital Deluxe version of the album, featuring four bonus tracks, including acoustic versions of the songs "The End", "Judgement Day", and "Thanks For Asking".
"Music is meant to be universal and without boundaries, and it starts at the top with us, the artists," Bathory shared via an official release. "We have always embraced the mixing of genres, whether it be the remake of LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out" featuring Tech N9ne as a guest, or our collaboration with blues warrior Kenny Wayne Shepherd, country star Brantley Gilbert, and Brian May, the legendary guitarist of Queen, on the song ‘Blue on Black."
About the collaboration with DMX, he explains that it's been a discussion for years, something they've always desired to tick off from their wishlist. "He was a lyrical warrior, a true original who spoke his mind incorruptibly. We have always viewed DMX as “the metalhead of hip-hop’ because of his aggressive, raw, and untamed style," Bathory said, sharing how the track is more than just another song, describing it as a "way to honor DMX's memory" as a legend in the industry.
Following the album's original version's release in 2022, 5FDP toured with rock legends Megadeath. The opportunity was something the band members found to be life-changing. "It's kind of surreal, obviously. I had Megadeth posters on my wall when I was growing up," Bathory told El Planeta Del Rock. "That's a surreal thing for me, being a kid in Budapest, Hungary, a communist country at the time, and dreaming about one day going to America and being in a rock band and touring the world."
Citing Megadeath as an influence for what they do to this day, he looks forward to a time when he'll be sitting backstage with a kid who grew up with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, and now that youngster's band is huge too. It's the cycle of life, music, and the world.
So, as 5FDP continues to grow and dominate the scene, don't miss out on their North American headlining tour this year. Book those tickets now!
