Avenged Sevenfold, known for their highly varied sound, drawing from many genres, and their elaborate, dramatic imagery and storylines accompanying their music, are one of the most prominent acts of the heavy metal and progressive metal scenes today. Their most recent album, “The Stage,” is their first conceptual effort, based around the concepts of artificial intelligence and society’s self-destruction marking a further step towards the prog genre. It was released to massive critical acclaim, with Angry Metal Sci-fi calling it; "the best sounding metal record of 2016”.
Supporting act A Day To Remember were formed in 2003 by Tom Denney, guitarist, and drummer Bobby Scruggs. Their first album, “And Their Name Was Treason,” – containing many songs written by the band in their teens! – was released to widespread critical acclaim, with Fake Train calling it; “one of the best fusions of metallic hardcore and melodic punk-rock”. Since then, the band has built up a huge worldwide fanbase and gained repute for their unique melding together of hardcore metal and pop-punk.
