Def Leppard at Isleta Amphitheater

Earlier in March 2025, metal heads and rock ‘n’ roll fans across America received a piece of great news. The legendary Glam Rock and Hair Metal band Dep Leppard are touring North America this Spring and Summer!

With only a few selected dates, however, people of Albuquerque, New Mexico, are very lucky to be one of the lucky selected cities for this tour! The rock masters will be coming to you on August 12 and playing at the Isleta Amphitheater.

The band will not be alone! Def Leppard’s special guest of the night is Poison’s frontman and vocalist Bret Michaels. 

Def Leppard

Def Leppard is an English Rock band from Sheffield, formed in 1976, the era that’s known to be Rock and Metal’s best pioneering years. The band established themselves in the early 1980s as part of Britain’s new wave of heavy metal. The band’s music is known to blend Glam Rock, Hair Metal, and elements of Pop Ballads with heavy riffs and memorable melodies. During the band’s four decade long career, they have produced 12 studio albums with their third album ‘Pyromania’ (1983) and fourth album ‘Hysteria’ (1987) giving them a global fanbase and success. ‘Hysteria’ is a monumental album for Dep Leppard with singles “Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Hysteria," and "Armageddon It" reaching Top 10 on the charts and "Love Bites" becoming number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album has sold over 30 Million copies worldwide to date, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time and top selling for glam rock. 

‘Hysteria’ also carries an emotional weight for Def Leppard, as it is the first album recorded after drummer Rick Allen’s car accident in 1984, leaving him with one arm amputated. However, the band members collectively worked on designing a new drum kit that would allow Allen to use his legs to play parts that used to be done by arms. Rick Allen is one of the most respected and influential drummers to date for his musical talent and knowledge as well as his unstoppable spirit. 

Bret Michaels 

Bret Michaels is an American singer and musician from Pennsylvania. He is best known as the frontman of rock band Poison. Bret Michaels’ solo career began in the late 1990s when he released a soundtrack album for the movie “A Letter from Death Row” (1998) which Michaels wrote, directed and starred in. In his solo career, Michaels has released four studio albums with music described as a blend of Heavy Metal and Glam Rock.
